  • To create these sculptures, I find my inspiration in nature: plants, animals, de human body. I knead the impression they leave in my unconsiousness into soft, organic-abstract and female - round shapes. The material I use is marl, some kind of very soft limestone digged up from the marlcaves in Valkenburg, Holland.

  • The silent and inscrutable world of stones and boulders is the theme of these paintings. They take my attention by their lines game, hard surfaces and the gentle slope, faded colors and the energy that for centuries has been saved in these objects inspire me.

  • Paintings, made after my departure from Amsterdam - especially - the Zeeburgereiland where I had my studio for five years . The island was called the 'fringe' of Amsterdam and was gradually created from dredging. The island seemed to have a life of its own, as a melting pot of different energies, breathing on his own rhythm.

  • Small, cheerful paintings on panel, with a nod to the life and love, not to be superficial.

  • Wooden sculptures in which often semi-precious stones like amethyst and rock crystal are integrated into the design. The stones are a contribution to the meditative nature of my work but the context in which I place the stones also increases their psychological character.

  • In 1999 I created the first sculptures in terra cotta. I took them under the heading 'Meditative Arts'. This work is very suitable for a meditation room, on the altar at practice space, etc. to place because of the design and quiet atmosphere.
